Idle stock is a list. Cost turns it into dollars.
Two files: a product export with Stock and Cost (or Shopify Cost per item), plus an orders export. SKUs still on hand with no paid sale in the lookback, where unit cost is present. Capital = quantity × cost. Rows without a cost are skipped — we do not invent a number. Zero-cost and unpublished / variable parents are skipped. The files stay in this tab.

2. Orders CSV (SKU, date, status, quantity)

Paid = WooCommerce completed / processing / on-hold, or Shopify paid / partially_paid. No cost column: dead stock (counts only). Still selling: excess cover.

What this is not
- Not a cost guess. Blank or zero Cost is skipped.
- Not a missing-image catalog check. That is csv-check.html.
- Not a new plugin. Email both files for a written chapter — extra delivery, same $149.
