An attribute can be “used for variations” and still unused.
WooCommerce lets you tick Size or Color as a variation attribute, then never create a child that uses a value. The shopper dropdown looks complete. The catalog is not. That is not the same as attributes vanishing after a WooCommerce 11 update.
How to list them
- Open a variable product. Confirm the attribute is marked “used for variations”.
- Compare those values to the children that actually exist. Leftover values are unused.
- ShopGaps Variation Gaps lists unused variation attributes, missing combinations, and orphan variations on the store. Free on WordPress.org. Or use the Store Audit ($149) if you want a ranked Monday list.
Scans stay on your site. We do not generate children in the free copy and we do not invent SKUs. Catalog Audit (missing image, SKU, price) is already free on WordPress.org.
